As far as we’re aware, this is the first ever official Nerdfighter club! Anyone else have information or news on that front?
I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT TO START A NERDFIGHTER CLUB. I just don’t know if there are any/enough on campus. Also, I would want it to be more charity-oriented. Any tips on how to get this started?
When I started the one at the University of Maryland I wasn’t expecting it to be nearly as easy as it was, or find so many people so quickly.
I saw on your blog you live in New York - start by joining the Nerdfighters of New York Facebook group and asking if anyone goes to your school. If people do, they’ll be your first members! Also, just walk around campus with Nerdfighter-related things and eventually people will notice. I found several at UMD just by walking around in my Pizza John shirt and using my laptop with a DFTBA sticker on it in public places. You can also just put up flyers. There might be more Nerdfighters near you than you think!
