It’s like straight dudes can only give a compliment when they expect sex out of it or something OH WAIT.
I think it’s a pretty big leap to blame this on men expecting sex… Seems more likely to me that it’s because of ingrained homophobia? Homophobic teasing among boys is very common and there’s often lot of pressure to avoid hinting at being non-straight or non-masculine
It’s still a problem of course but let’s not assume it has one simple cause
